Happy Birthday Jesus!

We celebrated Jesus' Birthday with a cake:

The shape of the cake is round to represent the world into which Jesus was born.
The bottom layer of the cake is black to signify that we all are sinners, which is why Jesus came to earth.
The red layer symbolizes Jesus' blood that was shed on the cross for our sins.
And the green layer denotes the new life we have in Christ after our sins have been washed away.
The pure white frosting stands for the righteousness and purity of Jesus Christ,
The border of red hearts represents brothers and sisters united in Christ and circling the earth as his witnesses.
On the top of the cake is the gold star, the Star of David. The star shone bright heralding Jesus' birth and lighting the way to the manger.
The red candle is Jesus who came into the dark world to bring truth and light to all who are willing to receive it.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Happy Birthday Josh! We love you and are ready for you to be home!!!

Santa Pictures!

Hunter was super excited to go see Santa. All the way through the mall he was yelling for Santa and trying to find him! We finally made it to "the North Pole" and Hunter waited patiently (as patiently as you can expect a 2 year old to wait) for his turn. When it was our turn, we walked in and THAT was the moment Hunter decided he didn't like Santa. We tried for a few minutes with Hunter, got some with Braden by himself, and then we finally bribed Hunter with a popsicle and he sat for a few pictures with Santa. He loves Santa, he just wasn't thrilled with the idea of sitting on his lap. As we left the mall, Hunter kept yelling bye to Santa. Santa tried to ignore him, since he was in the middle of talking to someone, but he couldn't ignore the screaming (and very excited) Hunter and finally waved bye to him.
