A Trip to the Zoo
Hunter was "sick" today. Sick enough to not be allowed at school, but too sick to stay still all day long. So we dropped Braden off at daycare and Hunter and Mommy had a day together at the New Orleans Zoo. We had a great time together and at the end of the day he looked at me and said "Mommy, I had fun with you today"...talk about melting my heart! Hunter really enjoyed the elephants and the monkeys, but his favorite part was the petting zoo! He even got to ride on the carousel for the first time!!

Braden Update!
In the last month, Braden has changed SO much!!! He is now sitting up on his own, getting up on all fours and attempting to crawl. Today he even got up in a bear crawl stance. He has been eating solids for several weeks now. We have tried carrots and squash so far and tomorrow he is starting sweet potatoes. He is always smiling unless he is tired or hungry. He goes to bed at 715ish every night and wakes up at about 11:30pm for a bottle, but then is out for the night! He LOVES watching Hunter run around and play and often laughs out loud when Hunter talks to him. He is all smiles when he sees his mommy or daddy and follows us around the room with his eyes. Ms. Rene at his daycare says that he is a lot of fun to play with and we get lots of compliments on how cute he is! Some of his favorite things are: the baby einstein activity center, playing on the rug in the living room, anything to chew on, his lovies, and being in the Baby Bjorn!
Here are some pictures:
This is the first time he sat up by himself!

Crying...because I was feeding him squash too slow!

Out for a walk in the baby bjorn:

Halloween 2009
We had a great time this year on Halloween. In Texas, on Halloween, you go up to the door, ring the doorbell and they come to the door to give you candy. In Houma, you set up tables/chairs and everyone sits out in the driveway to hand out candy. If you aren't home, you set a bowl of candy out in your driveway and people go by and get it themselves....interesting, but way cooler!
