Braden's First Smile!

Sorry, no picture! They happen so quickly I haven't caught one on the camera yet! The first one was on Monday, June 1st! Braden and I went down the street to meet with some ladies to talk about Schlumberger Spouses Association and while we were there, he gave one of the ladies the biggest smile I have ever seen from a baby! It was absolutely adorable!!!!!! He smiled at me today and it just melts my heart!!!

This is when the BIG yellow firetruck came to visit Hunter's class at school! Can you find him?? He is wearing a blue shirt right in the middle of the firetruck! (sorry, not the greatest pic as I had to take a picture of the picture on his school newsletter) They also had a visit from a nurse and a police officer last month! This month he will be participating in water day (several times!), bring your bike to school day and bring your ball to school day! The will also be learning about the story of Noah's Ark and Jonah and the Whale!!! So exciting!

Hunter's First Fridge Art

So when I picked Hunter up from school today, he yelled "MOMMY, I PAINT"....He was so proud we came home and put it right on the fridge (he proceeded to rip all of the foam pieces off of one of the art pieces, but at least I got a picture first!!!)

He also came home with ANOTHER bite mark...this one on his forehead (OUCH)!!!! But he didn't bite back, so that is good!!!

How cute is he??

My neighbor Tosha has been telling me that Hunter will come home soon saying the Pledge of Allegiance to me so tonight I tested him! While he was in the bathtub, I said "I pledge" and I stopped and he kept going!!! So I got out my camera and we sat on the couch for a "photo op".

They taught him to say grace before eating his meals. He forgot "God is Great" but he starts with "God is good, let us thank him for our food...AMEN".-



I think I confused the poor kid....this is after saying the pledge, grace and goodnight prayer:

"Now I lay me down to sleep, I pledge the flag, and thank him for our food" and I stopped the camera and he said "AMEN" . -

It's Picture time!!

Here are some pictures!!! A quick update: Hunter is loving school! He has gone in happy every day this week and has smiled and waved at me. On Wednesday, a firefighter came and talked to his class. His favorite part was the BIG yellow fire truck! He happened to be wearing a yellow shirt that day so he thought that was pretty cool! Yesterday he got to finger paint with BLUE paint (blue being the very important part according to him!) and we can't wait to bring his picture home to hang on the fridge! He got in trouble yesterday....uh oh! He got in a fight over a toy and the other child hit him so he bit her......his first incident report! (As I was typing that sentence, I got a call from the school and he got in another fight today over something on the playground....and he got bit and then he bit back....UGH) STOP BITING HUNTER!!!! Hunter

Hunter is adjusting to being a big brother quite nicely! He has shown interest in Braden since a couple of days after he was born, but now that we are letting him hold him he LOVES him and wants to know where he is at ALL times. We have to give "the baby" a kiss before leaving or going to sleep and he wants to hold him all the time. Brotherly love!

I think I am in trouble. Josh and I spell things all the time...."s-n-a-c-k", "b-a-n-a-n-a", "p-o-p-s-i-c-l-e", etc. Well last week while my mom was here helping me, I looked at her and said "We can go on a w-a-l-k later" and Hunter looked at me and said "walk".....uh oh....this could end my secret spelling language!!! Too cute!

Braden is growing like a weed!!! He was born at 6lbs 10oz and already (at 1 month) weighs 10lbs!!!!! He is getting so big and I can just feel these newborn days slipping away....sad!

I have to take a picture of him today in his "1 month" outfit....and once I do, I will add it (along with some pictures of the house) to this post. But I wanted to give a little update while he was sleeping!
